ASOS.com review 1

Hi All!

As part of my online shopping addiction, one of the sites I frequent often is ASOS.com (apparently formerly known as As Seen On Screen).  ASOS has their own "home brand" but also sell other high street brands like River Island, Oasis, Aldo, French Connection, Mango, Warehouse, Vera Moda and designer brands as well.

I am familiar with UK shopping as I have been there in person, so sizing is not a problem usually. However, because I recently added 10kg, taking me from my usual 55kg to 65kg (working on it now, lol), I thought I would no longer be a size 8, and opted to buy a dress in a size 10 from this website. As a test, I also bought another dress in a size 8. the dress I bought in a size 10, needless to say, was way too big for me while the size 8 fit. I did not return the other dress however, I gave it to a friend because I am somewhat lazy about posting stuff, so I really know nothing about their returns YET. The quality of the dresses were just ok, nothing to be excited about but for the prices, I'd say, I really can't complain.

The shipping on ASOS.com is free, yes, international shipping is free! so I'm always tempted to buy stuff, especially as Australia is so far away from everywhere else, ergo high shipping rates. Anyway, I have since gone back to buy more items and this time, I went on a limb and bought 4 dresses, a skirt, a pair of pants and some shoes. I am biting my nails as I wait on these items and I will give a detailed review, including some images when they do arrive.

Sidenote: I really wish clothes from Mango would not be restricted to the UK on ASOS.com, because I am at least confident about the quality of clothes from this company. There are a few other stores like that do not ship outside UK or to certain countries, so you might want to read the description box before trying to purchase.

Fingers crossed and hoping my shipment arrives AND that everything fits, I really hate returns!

Ciao!

bebe Women's Bathilda Platform Open Toe

Hello shoe-lovers!

I bought the bebe Women's Bathilda Platform Open Toe in red and in my usual US size 6.5 from Amazon. (I have since learnt to buy size 7 for security)

The shipping from Amazon was fast, received the shoes in a week or two all the way in Melbourne, price was good, (can't really remember how much I bought them because I ordered three pairs of shoes at the same time) and the packaging was great! the two reviews on the amazon website only mentioned how sexy the shoes were, nothing about the fit, and I needed a pair of red shoes so I bought them.

I must say, these shoes are gorgeous! however, I could not fit my feet into these shoes because they run really narrow. I could not return them either because of the shipping cost from Melbourne. three of my friends, who wear the same shoe size as I do, tried these shoes but no one could fit into them. So I will advise anyone who wants to buy these shoes to take note of the fact that they run really narrow. My feet are a normal width, i.e. neither narrow nor wide and I could not even squeeze in!

If you have narrow feet and love high heels, these shoes are for you. The heel is about 4.5" to 5" and the platform in front will ensure comfortability. And on amazon at the moment, they are going for about $30 to $40 which is a fraction of their initial cost of $140!

As for me, they are still in my closet, in their original package, I might end up selling them on e-bay :(.

Ciao lovelies and stay tuned!

Hi All!

Hi, my name is Dee and I'm an "onlineshopaholic"

I discovered online shopping a little later than most, for which I am grateful, but since discovering it I have been almost uncontrollable! the only thing that really "controls" my addiction is money, because I really cannot buy anything when I am broke can I? :), so sometimes being broke is a good thing for me.

Now that I have established my weakness, let me tell you why I started this blog. I decided to start this blog because I am constantly searching for reviews on the items I purchase but usually find very few, and I end up buying them, hoping they would be as great as they look online. Trust me, it would have helped if someone had been kind enough to let me know that the shoes I was about to buy would be unwearable because of their ridiculous heel, or the way they fit OR that I would love the shoes because they are amazingly comfortable despite being 5" (yea, I know, lol). I say shoes because they are my most "frequently bought items", I do buy other things however, as you will find out in subsequent posts.

In summary, welcome aboard my blog! I hope my upcoming honest, unbiased reviews help you all.

Stay tuned!

Ciao!
